The Community Satellite Project is an internet-based organization with members from around the world.
Our goal is to send BATSAT, a crowd-developed satellite, into space to conduct new science that will benefit life here on earth, and to show the power of online scientific collaboration.
We’re happy to announce that as part of its mission, BATSAT will test a newly designed de-orbiting tether, intended to cause orbits of satellites to decay more rapidly, without the use of active components.
